The Ski-Doo® Summit 583 snowmobile was designed to push back the boundaries of high-altitude riding. It uses a high-altitude compensator (H.A.C.) to automatically adjust the fuel-air mixture ratio as oxygen decreases in the mountains. Its track was modified for optimum performance in powder snow, making it a top choice for riding along snow-capped peaks.

This specific snowmobile is not only valued for its performance, but also for its symbolic significance. It was the 2 millionth snowmobile produced by Bombardier! This milestone was celebrated at a ceremony in Valcourt, where the snowmobile was donated to the Museum to cement its place in history.
