Procedure

Please complete the official request form to provide us with a detailed description of your project and the materials you are requesting.
Then, fill out the licensing agreement along with the terms and conditions form. This document outlines the terms and conditions of the agreement. Rights granted for use of the materials requested is contingent upon these conditions. To this licence, you must append all texts, labels, scenarios, abstracts, or other elements using the Museum’s images in your project before its final distribution or publication. All documents must be submitted for Museum approval. Once the licensing agreement has been completed, any applicable fees paid, and the texts approved, we will send you the final format of the material requested. The forms must be sent by mail, but to expedite process, you may also send them by email.
Any reproduction or use of these documents and information for purposes other than that stipulated in the original request related to your project is strictly prohibited. The documents provided are to be used solely in the context of your project. The following acknowledgement must appear below each of the images reproduced: Archives, Museum of Ingenuity J. Armand Bombardier.
Appropriate credit must be given for all materials used within the framework of your project. Credit may also be given on a credits page or in a generic entry, depending on the circumstances.
A full copy of your project as published or distributed must be submitted to the Museum for reference and conservation purposes. A PDF file related to your project is acceptable.

To help you preserve or restore your Bombardier vehicles, or simply for the curious, the Museum now grants free and easy access to the most popular technical documents (PDF file).
The database catalogues our archival collections and provides direct access to more than 400 digital documents, including the patents of Joseph-Armand Bombardier, technical publications for Bombardier vehicles, production records, and more. Please note that the Museum provides this documentation for vehicles manufactured prior to 1980. For more recent models, please contact the BRP customer service department, or consult ski-doo.brp.com.
