Technical drawing of a snowmobile ski assembly

Drawing

1945

This technical drawing from July 24, 1945, is signed “P. A. de B.” The initials belong to Paul-Aimé de Bellefeuille, who worked at L’Auto-Neige Bombardier Limitée in the 1940s. It’s a high-precision rendering of a ski assembly designed to be compatible with the B12, B12 CS and C18 snowmobile models.

The blueprint shows the ski model from 4 different angles, providing a complete view of all its components. It was prepared in English, the language of work at the time, with imperial measurements because Canada only switched to the metric system in the 1970s. Beyond its technical role, this drawing reflects old-time ingenuity as well as the company’s attention to detail.
