During this activity:
Museum
Design your project in the classroom and make it happen at the Museum. Whether your project involves electronics, computer science, art, robotics or ecology, a facilitator will be there every step of the way. The number of visits to our Fab Lab depends on the type and scope of your project or invention.
Subject, duration and materials to be discussed with the teacher. The activity takes place in three stages: in the classroom, at the Fab Lab, and back in the classroom.
Online
This is a synchronous activity.
You will need a screen in the classroom where you can project the activity. You will also need a camera, such as the one on a laptop, so that our guides can interact with your students.
Preparation required before the presentation:
• Test the technology (we’ll take just a few minutes to test the sound quality and connection)
WHAT IS A FAB LAB?
It’s a place where you have access to a variety of tools (hammers, saws, 3D printer, laser cutting machine, etc.) and that promotes a do-it-yourself philosophy focused on repairing rather than replacing, and pushing the boundaries of creativity by working together. Students develop digital, methodical and creative competencies by working on a concrete project.
* Additional costs may be added for hardware.
