Joseph-Armand Bombardier was always actively involved in the community. In 1959, the Knights of Columbus council No 3207 of Valcourt presented this gavel to the inventor in honour of his 10th year as a member and founding officer of the organization since 1949. The gavel was used at one of the Knights of Columbus council meetings.
