Ski-Doo® K-60 snowmobile
Snowmobile
1960
With the K-60 snowmobile, L’Auto-Neige Bombardier Limitée hit the milestone achievement of launching its first mass-produced recreational vehicle. It was dubbed K-60 in reference to its Kohler engine and the model year 1960.
This snowmobile is built with a steel body and wooden skis. It could reach speeds up to 40 km/h, which was impressive at the time. According to the sales record, this specific unit was sold to Montreal dealership L. Tessier Automobiles Inc. for $650, or the equivalent of roughly $6,700 in 2025. Fun fact: it still has its original engine, making it a true witness of its time.
