This truck is called TD for “Truck Double,” which means that the tracks at the rear of the vehicle are doubled, allowing it to pull heavier loads. The front tracks can pivot on themselves for increased maneuverability in difficult terrain. Bombardier Snowmobile Limited produced 51 of them between 1950 and 1953. The serial number of this truck identifies the company that owned the truck, Industrial Engines Limited in Alberta, which used it for oilfield operations. The truck was abandoned for many years before being restored in the early 2000s.
